How to Prepare for Christ’s 2nd Coming
“For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.”

“Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”

With the goal of a Christian to be a king and priest with Christ in the coming kingdom age, we need to prepare in three areas: the kingship, priesthood and holiness.
Kingship
To become a king in God’s kingdom, we need to not only know the constitution of the kingdom of the heavens, but we need to abide and live by it.
Priesthood
To become a priest in God’s holy and royal priesthood, we need to be trained to become priests in His prescribed way according to His word.
Holiness
Because God is holy, we also must be holy. “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thess. 5:23)
